I was recently given an article from the December issue of Dog World, which was titled “Constant Companions.”

It probably seems as though I often brag about my wonderful life. While it is true that I am very happy with where my family is, it is in no way care- or stress-free.

This week’s column topic will be the highly debated swine flu vaccine. Since I am more than five months pregnant, this topic has been very important to me.

One week ago, Joseph and I picked up my mother on the way to Daytona, to have my second sonogram.

I am sure we all dream of what life will be like when we are adults. I remember when I was a child knowing I would be a wife and mother, and unsure of my career aspirations

This week, I was asked to write about a subject other than Autism. Although I do not know anyone who has the illness, my good friend Stephanie just returned from a visit with her grandparents.

When we brought Audrey to her first therapy session at First Steps Therapeutics in Daytona, she was delighted by all of the “toys” they had. Her need for physical therapy was ruled out by a separate evaluation, but the room was very stimulating.

I awoke on a Sunday morning feeling differently. Throughout the day, I went about my business, but had the feeling in the back of my mind. Upon driving to Grandma’s house for Sunday dinner, I asked Joe to make a pit stop at a local drugstore.

I had to get glasses when I was under a year old. Mom says that she knew I had a vision problem, because I kept bumping into things.

One of the great things about writing this column is I get the chance to communicate with new people all of the time.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. I have heard this time-tested saying for most of my life.
